THIS INFORMATION RELATES TO BOYS COMPETITORS ONLY. THE SLGA WILL FORWARD GIRLS INFORMATION SEPARATELY.
Car Park Competitors and spectators may use the golf club car park. The Scottish Golf Union and Largs Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to cars. An overflow facility will also be in operation.
Catering Coffee, cereal and morning rolls will be available from 6.30am. Snacks and lunch will be available throughout the day. Evening meals will also be served, last orders 9pm. All food and beverage is at competitors own expense.
Clubhouse The clubhouse will be open at 6.30am. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities. Casual wear is acceptable but must be smart. Jean, and trainers are permitted and only soft spikes may be worn inside. The playing of fruit machines or the consumption of alcohol by competitors is strictly prohibited.
Competitors may use the locker rooms, towels will be provided for showers.
MOBILE PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF IN THE CLUBHOUSE, CAR PARK AND ON THE COURSE.
Course and Play Competitors will play one round of stroke play on Friday 10 July. In the event of a tie a sudden death play off will decide the championship.
Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules and a pin position chart from the SGU. These local rules supersede all other local rules.
On the day of play all competitors must report to the mobile championship office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting time. Starting times are shown in the official draw sheet.
COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision has been made under Rule 6-3.
THE USE CADDIES AND MOTORISED VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED AND COMPETITORS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY MUST NOT SEEK OR ACCEPT ADVICE FROM PARENTS, OTHER COMPETITORS OR ANY OTHER PERSON. NB. "Advice" is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke.
Insurance Your entry fee includes cover in respect of competitor’s legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property.
Practice The club has kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round, on Thursday 9 July between 1.00pm & 5.00pm. Competitors must telephone the Pro Shop in advance to make a booking. Times are available on a first come first served basis.
During the practice round only one ball shall be in play.
Presentation The Championship trophy and medals will be presented at the close of play. All medal winners are expected to be present.
Responsibility Largs Golf Club and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property during the Championship or on the practice day.
Trolleys & Yardage Books Trolleys are available for hire and yardage books for purchase from the Professional Shop on a first come first served basis.
Largs Golf Club is situated on the Scottish Ayrshire coast, approximately 40 miles from Glasgow. Travelling by car from Glasgow continue on the M8 motorway, on passing Glasgow International Airport follow signs for Irvine on the A737.
Continue on this road passing Johnstone and Howwood. On reaching the roundabout take the A760 past Lochwinnoch and onto the town of Largs.
On reaching the traffic lights, turn left onto Irvine Road. The course is situated opposite the Marina.
